About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical design, installation, commissioning, optimization, and continuous improvement of production lines and equipment in the plant, including highly automated manufacturing areas such as the painting factory and other production workshops.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the electrical design of production lines, equipment, and automation systems used in the plant, including the painting factory and other manufacturing areas.

2. Establish, maintain, and continuously optimize electrical standards, technical specifications, and related engineering documentation.

3. Support and coordinate on-site electrical installation, commissioning, testing, and trial operation of production equipment and automated systems.

4. Provide technical support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, modifications, and continuous improvement of production lines after handover.

5. Cooperate with production, maintenance, engineering, equipment suppliers, and other departments to ensure stable, safe, and efficient plant operation.

6. Comply with and implement the company’s information security management system, internal regulations, and safety requirements, and report any violations or risks.

7. Complete other job-related tasks assigned by the direct superior.

Requirements

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Automation, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. Relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, industrial automation, equipment commissioning, or production line electrical support, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.

3. Fluent English language skills are required; Chinese and Hungarian language knowledge is an advantage.

4. Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems, automation control systems, industrial robots, electrical components, programming software, and EPLAN drawings; project commissioning experience is an advantage.

5. Responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented personality with good communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to cooperate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
